I am directed by His Excellency the Governor in Council to acknowledge
the receipt of your letter of the 20th December regarding certain Supplement and Fea leeds required by the Government of India
I am to inform you that nothing of the kind is to be had in this part of China, but that Her Majesty's Superintendent of trade de to will be moved to issue instructions to
Her Majesty's Consul at the Northern Ports to procure them, and when they reach this Government, they will be forwarded to Calcutta to the address of the Secretary in the Home Department.
